Net!Works Event 2012: Towards Horizon 2020

Net!Works organized a one day workshop in Brussels on 13 November 2012 to provide a forum for discussion of the Horizon2020 programme. Views of participants were collected on topics which could be included in the detailed workplan for communications networks and services of the programme and arguments justifying their inclusion.   read more >

Dr Fiona Williams will take part in the panel session at this event.

This event will focus on some of the most relevant topics to boost international collaboration. What is the future of Internet and its many applications? How to combine the interests of platform developers, application and service providers and future customers? Which applications will generate new business opportunities? How can Internet be used to tackle challenges such as environmental change, healthcare & aging and transport?

SRA Workshop, 3-4 May 2012, Stuttgart

Following successful launch of SARA version 9 in 2011, the Expert Group will be getting together to discuss and identify strategic research and technologies that should be addressed in EU Horizon 2020.

A two-day workshop is organised for launch of SARA v10 with  focus presentations from experts on key research and technologies together with extensive discussions for identifying subjects of new White Papers which will be edited into the SARA v10.

The eMobility European Technology Platform is pleased and honoured to inform you that Ms. Catherine Trautmann, Member of the European Parliament, was giving the opening speech during the networking session entitled "Smart European Cities - the killer application for ICT!" which was held during the ICT2010 Event  on 29 September 2010 from 11:00 to 12:30 in room T 009.
Ms. Trautmann is a member of the Board of Governors of the European Internet Foundation, and a member of the ITRE Committee. She is also the former mayor of Strasbourg in France. Other distinguished speakers in this session include Mr. Srdjan Krco from Ericsson and Prof. Ina Schiefendecker who will respectively present the experimentation in Santander, Spain, and the potential directions for smart city developments.

The sixth General Assembly of the European Technology Platform eMobility took place at Telecom Italia's Future Centre in Venice on 16 September 2010. It attracted 65 participants, who witnessed reports about recent activities and achievements and presentations on eMobility's plans for 2011. In addition, keynotes from the European Commission and special sessions with in-depth presentations from selected application domains provided interesting insights. Download article
